Now the DINOSAURS are back and ready to thrill Australian audiences once again.
WALKING WITH DINOSAURS The Arena Spectacular originated in Australia, where after years of planning the show came to life at Sydney's Acer Arena in January 2007 and has since been touring the world garnering record-breaking statistics.
"WALKING WITH DINOSAURS was conceived to create life-sized dinosaurs making the show so immense, that it could only fit in arenas. The show is a $20 million spectacle of unprecedented size and quality that travels from town to town in a staggering 33 semi-trailers."
A national three year North American tour had its final performance on September 12, 2010, at Staples Center in Los Angeles. The tour played to an audience of more than 4.1 million people in the United States, Canada, and Mexico, and played 1097 performances in 144 cities.
In 2009, WALKING WITH DINOSAURS The Arena Spectacular was the 4th largest tour overall worldwide selling over 1.6 million total tickets - and the 12th largest grossing tour in North America, with over $46 million in ticket sales (source: Pollstar).
In 2009, the international demand for WALKING WITH DINOSAURS The Arena Spectacular was so high that The Creature Production Company created a second company to tour Europe, Asia and other territories.
Worldwide the show's two companies have played to 6.5 million people and generated over $350 million dollars in overall ticket sales. It has broken the house record for a family show in almost all of the venues at which it has played.
